Celebrate Christmas in Peasedown St John and Wellow - details of services

By Susie Watkins 23rd Dec 2021

Churches in Peasedown St John and Wellow will be hosting a range of Christmas services this coming festive season to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

St John's Church in Peasedown and St Julian's in Wellow are both part of the St J's Group of Anglican Churches, which are led by Revd Matthew Street.

Between them, Christingle services, Carols by Candlelight, Children's Christmas Services and Midnight Communion will take place in the two villages.

Leader of both churches, Revd Matthew Street, said:

"We would love to see you at one of our Christmas services at either of our churches; St. John's Church Peasedown or St. Julian's Church Wellow.

Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate Christmas with us this year. Our services will explore the miracle of Jesus' birth and prompt us to think more about its significance for us today.

For Christians, we remember that Jesus' birth meant so much more than a baby in a manger. It was God coming to live amongst us. Come and find about more about this amazing truth this Christmas."

At present, unless the government introduces any further Covid restrictions, these services will be taking place:

Friday 24th, St Julian's Wellow, Children's Christmas Service, 4.30pm

Friday 24th, St John's Peasedown, Midnight Communion, 11.30pm

Friday 24th, St Julian's Wellow, Midnight Communion, 11.30pm

Saturday 25th, St Julian's Wellow, Christmas Day Celebration, 09.30am

Saturday 25th, St John's Peasedown, Christmas Day Celebration, 10.30am
