Central Radstock roadworks until October 30

By Susie Watkins 27th Oct 2020

Three way traffic lights in the centre of Radstock are likely to be in place until October 30.

The multi control signals are alongside the library as the Internet company Truespeed continues its expansion locally.

The work will also involve some excavation of an existing BT duct and clearing it to put in a new system.

Permission has been granted for the work by B&NES who on their site report that once the duct is clear engineers will be installing a sub duct and fibre optic cabling.

The company promises that customers will be guaranteed the fastest speed, even at peak times, because it always puts in its own fibre cables, rather than relying on old copper cables from BT which are also often shared with multiple homes.
