Getting feet, and donations, through the door of charity shops is a struggle, But the Age UK shop in Radstock has a secret weapon in the form of character who loves to sell.

In a marketing video that has chalked up thousands of views, helper Roger has made his mission to raise the profile of the shop.

And as an added bonus, his last video had a cringe-worthy joke worthy of space in a Christmas cracker. One commented on his video he is such a sales star he could sell anything to anyone even sand to the Arabs.

Although he is a part-time paid helper and Sunday Sales Assistant, Roger can be found most days in the shop on the Frome Road, working for free.

And like any good marketing ploy, a funny video is only worth the bandwidth it if works, so yes Nub News was thrilled to hear that all his a-jars were indeed sold out that day.
