Churches prepare for Harvest
Churches in Peasedown St John, Wellow and Shoscombe are preparing for Harvest this Sunday, due to be celebrated at a number of morning services.
Anglican churches in all three parishes, which make up the St J's Group, will be observing the Christian festival whilst at the same time following the government's coronavirus guidelines.
Leader of all three parishes, Revd Matthew Street, said; "Harvest is that time of the year to thank God for our food, and all the gifts the land around us provides from clothing to furniture.
" Whether you are two years old, or 102 years old, Harvest is a time to be thankful. We do recognise though that not everyone will be able to join in the festivities this year, due to the restrictions on the number of people that can gather together." Harvest is on Sunday 27th September, with the following events taking place:- 00 am – Harvest Morning Praise, St Julian's Church, Wellow
- 30 am – Harvest Morning Praise - St John's Church, Peasedown St John – A seat must be booked in advance
- 15 am – Harvest Morning Praise – St James, Foxcote (Shoscombe)
