The local family-run estate agency business, Sam Chivers says the business is still very much open, with news that in the last few days they even sold three properties.

The director of the company, said: " Obviously these times ahead are very uncertain but as a company, we can only speak for ourselves and the contingencies that we are putting into place."

Tracey Chivers, who runs the company based in Paulton said: " Our main objective currently is to continue with our daily business but with safeguarding measures in place. We are complying with all current government guidelines and will continue to monitor this on a daily basis.

"All current sales going through are continuing as normal as all of the solicitors have put procedures in place to continue working either in the workplace or at home.

"We are still being contacted by many first time buyers and people who have sold their properties.

We sold three houses yesterday and have six viewings booked today. The member of staff on viewings has been primed to act in accordance with current guidelines and to ensure that people viewing properties are also being responsible.

"We are all in this together and if everyone is responsible and thinks of others, we will come out the other side."
