The rule is that you cannot be a professional chef - but it probably helps if you have a thick skin too.

Because it might be your décor as well as your cooking that could come in for a roasting.

The hugely popular TV show, Come Dine With Me is looking for Midsomer Norton gourmets to take part.

They are currently casting for a new SOLO series.

All filming will take place under strict coronavirus guidelines.

The terms and conditions for the filming are that you need to be aged over 18, and have not been a professional chef or trained as a professional chef. The TV executives say that it is ultimately the decision of the producer to decide what actually constitutes being a professional chef such as whether you have had formal training.

The deadline to apply is September 10.
