The fire service have warned Radstock drivers to be extra cautious as the winter weather came in overnight and is due to be freezing again.

They released photos of a lucky escape for a driver whose car flipped in the ice on Pows Hill lane between Clandown and Paulton.

The weather tonight is going to be just as cold - minus two according to the Met Office.

The fire service were called out to the road traffic accident this morning. The crew said " Thankfully the driver was fine. Just caught out by the icy lane which caused the car to slide hit the bank and roll."

They are warning drivers to be extra vigilant and to also make are their car windows are cleared before setting out so their visibility isn't limited by a misted up screen.

Simply their warn is: "Tomorrow morning go steady."
