From rainbows to poppies : The big wheel expected to keep turning in Radstock
The wreath on the famous miners' wheel in Radstock will shortly be replaced.
Weather and fire brigade willing, tomorrow (October 29) the rainbow wreath created by local knitters to honour the NHS will be taken down and the existing poppy wreath will go up.
The wreath is in fact four years old, made with such love and care that it still looks as good as it did when it was first created by Radstock Knitters.
Jennifer Prowse, from the knitting group contacted Nub News to tell them about the changeover said: " I have also messaged the Radstock Hotel to see if they would be interested in having the flower rainbow banner from one of their windows. But the poppy wreath is the same one from four years ago. It has lasted so good."
The poppy wreath is expected to be lifted up tomorrow at 7pm.
