Spotted in a residential area of Midsomer Norton - a skunk

This fellow was spotted in Midsomer Norton.

And while Nub News - and the reader who sent it to us - cannot be absolutely sure, we do believe it is a skunk.

And no one seems quite sure what to do about him or her.

The Nub News reader said: "Just wondering who to call about it - must have escaped and poor thing must be hungry?"

If anyone has seen the animal or knows that it is now safe perhaps they can let us know?

Apparently skunks as pets can be very loving, but high maintenance. According to one animal care site : " In addition to feeding and cleaning up after your skunk, you should expect to spend several hours per day keeping it entertained. Some of a skunk's personality traits, such as being stubborn and headstrong, can make it a challenge to live with."
