HELP : Appeal to local businesses to offer up volunteer day to roll out the vaccine in Bath

A request has been put out on social media for B&NES businesses to provide volunteers to help with the vaccine roll out.

On social media an appeal has been made for companies to help out for a day with staff needed at a site in Bath.

On Twitter the appeal is : " Are you a B&NES based business who would be willing to adopt a day? We are looking for businesses to provide volunteers for a day to help with the flow of people at the vaccine centre in Bath. Contact : [email protected] "

It is not clear from the post which vaccine delivery is involved.

The first people received the Oxford University/AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine today (4 January 2021) .

The government has secured access to 100 million doses of the vaccine on behalf of the whole of the UK, crown dependencies and overseas territories.

According to the Department of Health more than half a million doses are available today,(January 4) with tens of millions more to be delivered in the coming weeks and months once batches have been quality checked by the MHRA. More than 730 vaccination sites have already been established across the UK and hundreds more are opening this week to take the total to over 1,000.
