The Met Office has just issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for much of the South West including the Somer Valley.

The forecast is for heavy showers and thunderstorms which may cause some transport disruption and perhaps flooding.

Local weather site Kilmersdon Weather is predicting that, even without Saturday's downpours (and we may miss the worst ), August is set to be the dullest 'summer' month since 2008.
