Property prices dropped by -4.6% on an annual basis according to the Halifax building society. In figures just in a typical UK home now costs £279,569, down by around £14,000 over the last year.

That is according to financial analysts back to the level seen in early 2022. The Halifax is the UK's largest mortgage lender.
