Workmen were taking down the barriers, painting in the central lines and clearing up today (October 1) as the works on the Frome Town Market Place came to a close.

The through road has been closed since June 22 and was initially scheduled to last 11 weeks. But those timings were extended - twice - due to more engineering work needing to be done, along with last minute Highways work.

But now it seems that, barring any last minute hitches, it will be re-opening later today (October 1).
