If you missed it Radstock, when is the next eclipse

Local News by Susie Watkins 10th Jun 2021

At the top of Radstock, at the lavender fields in Faulkland it seemed a perfect place to spot today (June 10) the partial eclipse. But cloud cover also meant that if you were watching the skies many, including Nub News, missed it.

The eclipse, dubbed a ring of fire, was visible, for moments around 11.09 in the BA3 postcode.

There will be another eclipse along on November 19 - again a partial one - while the next total eclipse is on May 16, 2022. However that will be mostly visible over South America, most of North America and parts of Europe and Africa.

People in the UK will not be able to see every part of the eclipse but will still be able to see the lunar eclipse at totality when the entire Moon turns red.

An eclipse of the Moon occurs when the Earth lies directly between the Sun and the Moon and the Moon lies in the shadow of the Earth.
