Well if smiles were being counted then that was certainly a yes.

This, the eighth town event was big in all kinds of ways, with a huge number of stalls, hundreds of school children dancing around a car park full of maypoles and a great big skate event, attracting visitors who had driven for hours to sample this world-class skate park.

Some of the charity stalls were full of familiar and hard-working faces, from the great work of the Royal British Legion and the supportive Men's Shed, through to Midsomer Norton scouts, who have kicked off a HUGE fundraiser to literally keep a roof over their heads. Watch this space to find out more.

Combining the Midsomer Norton Arts Festival and the Town Show, there were things to entertain everyone in the family, from checking out the mammoth vegetables in the tent behind the Somer Centre, which was itself full of local art and photographs, to having a bash on the drums.

Exhausting for the volunteers, all their hard work paid off, with another special day in Midsomer.
