The former Lloyds pharmacy on the High Street in Midsomer Norton will be opening and offering Thai food - as long as they get their licence - in August.

Simply Thai has taken on the premises which have been empty since October 2021 when the chemist shut down and will mark a re-opening of the premises with fans posting that they cannot wait for it to return.

It has been welcomed by residents who say the food is superb, so it joins a rather select bunch of new restaurants in Midsomer Norton where you can now eat Korean (at the former Greyhound pub) , traditional Greek (cooked by Greeks) at Nisi, alongside an absolutely terrific local fish and chip shop, the Chip Inn, where the pea fritter is something else.

Nub News will be profiling this lovely place shortly

They include Soyful's Kitchen further down the street in Holly Court, which is really amazing (in Nub News opinion and judging by the reviews we are not alone). The chef and his team came from a highly acclaimed restaurant in Bath just over a year ago.

They posted on social media at the end of June : " Thank you so much everyone all the support and love. It's been fantastic 1 years of Soyful's Kitchen. Looking forward to continue welcoming you all." This is the kind of food they do, a photo from their social media pages.

Making Midsomer Norton a foodie destination ?How far would you travel for this ?
