Midsomer's favourite radio station Somer Valley FM has launched its new show schedules for Winter 2020/2021.

The emphasis is on strong commercially-orientated weekday shows, which include local news bulletins , interviews and features,

headlines along with station-produced film reviews, infectious smiles and fitness tips.

For the evenings and weekends, specialist shows will be the highlight, ranging from country, folk and blues, eclectic, request shows and live DJ mixing through to environmental and ethical features.

Station Manager, Richard Burgess said: "Our approach is very two-

fold. During the weekdays we want anyone from 15 -65 to listen in, and quickly hear a tune they like, from the Top 40 through to a classic quality track.

"We are lucky to have fantastic presenters throughout the day, from Breakfast to Drivetime.

"We value our listeners, and our advertisers too , old and new, that have entrusted us to ensue their messages are heard by as many listeners as possible. And that's what we are doing. As an advertising medium radio is unavoidable we're going to make sure people stay tuned."

He continued 'We are proud of our specialist shows and the terrific presenters. In the evenings and weekends, we are ensuring that the radio time is there for the more niche sounds.

" Variety is ingrained into our 12 year heritage, and part of what we are here to provide.

"Should you miss your favourite show, on our website you can listen to every broadcast on demand.

Regardless of when you listen, we will always focus on local,

with our community at the forefront of our minds."

And if this has given you the urge to present your own radio show
