It was a new monthly overnight record freeze for the local weatherman - with Kilmersdon Weather recording -4.4C just before 6am this morning.

His previous record was -4.1C on the 3rd April 2019.

Meantime in other parts of Somerset they have also been spotting swallows who have arrived back - perhaps a little prematurely.

If you have any photos of the overnight freeze or those rather cold little birds please do post them.
