A set of figures for positive coronavirus cases in Midsomer Norton has shown 18 cases over the seven days to August 9, with those in central Bath and Lansdown the highest in the district at 47.

That has led the council to warn that infection rates remain high in B&NES and to continue testing.

The council has also reminded visitors to council buildings that they will be expected to wear a face covering unless exempt.

The council has reminded secondary/college students to continue testing and reporting twice a week over the holidays.
