Mark's Lockdown Challenge for SWALLOW Charity : What a grand effort

23rd Jun 2020 | Local News

A member of the fantastic local charity SWALLOW has just completed an amazing challenge.

Mark has been a member at SWALLOW for several years but has been self isolating at home. Mark is affected by Myotonic Dystrophy which is a genetic disease which causes muscle wasting within the body.

He started his challenge for SWALLOW on the 27th April 2020 during lockdown. His challenge was to complete 1000 laps of his home and at the same time raise vital funds for SWALLOW Charity. With the recent bad weather not dampening his spirits, he ploughed on and completed his final lap on Friday 19th June.

We are all so proud of Mark, well done
