Midsomer Norton bus users are being warned that Service 173 will be unable to serve Chilcompton Road in Midsomer Norton between Riverside Gardens and Redfield Road between 07:00 and 19:00 on Friday 10th June due to carriageway works.

The bus goes from Wells via Midsomer Norton and onto Bath.

The road is being closed for what is being called Machine Lay Patching - with work by B&NES Highways.

In case you missed it the issue of local regional buses is causing a lot of controversy with the WECA Mayor and other councils not in agreement about who should and can pay for the buses.

Meantime, B&NES has set out plans for a one-year extension of existing services. You can read about the plans HERE
