Midsomer Norton is getting another fish and chip shop.

A third branch of the Sea Pearl is being opened up in what was previously a Thai restaurant close to Lidl.

But the new owner, manager Bari Baram and his team, first have to do some unexpected structural work, replacing the whole roof.

He told Nub News today (June 30) that he still hopes to be open for takeaway: " Very soon. We did not expect to have to do this but we are busy and we will be open as soon as we can be."

He already runs businesses in Bristol, in Bedminster and one in Bath, on Cleveland Place East.
