Midsomer Norton results in the Bath and North East Somerset Council elections 2019

Three of the four Bath and North East Somerset councillors selected for Midsomer Norton in the 2019 elections are Conservative with an Independent taking the remaining seat.

In Midsomer Norton North, Independent Shaun Hughes got the most number of votes with 436, ahead of Conservative Michael Evans, who was also elected to Bath and North East Somerset Council (BANES) with 413 votes. Total number of votes was 2,301, out of an electorate of 4,280, with 13 rejected ballot papers.

Andrew Barnes, Labour and Co-operative Party, 234, Not elected

Fflyff McLaren, Labour and Co-operative Party, 209, Not elected

Grace Wiltshire, Green Party, 208, Not elected

In Midsomer Norton Redfield, sitting Conservative councillors Paul Myers and Chris Watt were voted in again, with 817 and 654 votes respectively. The total number of votes was 2,552 out of an electorate of 4,711. There were nine rejected ballot papers.

Overall in the council, the Liberal Democrats won 36 seats, the Conservatives 11, there are six Independents, four voted in for the Labour Party, and a single seat won by both the Labour and Co-operative Party and the Liberal Democrat Focus Team.
