This definitely wasn't a good deed.

The local Midsomer Scout group have appealed for anyone who might be offered a brand new oven for a knock down price, after theirs was stolen.

The scouts were appalled to find that sometime over the weekend, someone broke into the hall, and stole the brand new oven, which had been bought after lots of fundraising.

The scout meeting hall is on Radstock Road at the top of the High Street.

Scout leaders appealed for witnesses: " "If anyone saw anything report it to 101 using the crime reference 5220027582 please. "

They believe that someone might want to sell it on, so they hope someone will come forward.

The hall is used by over 150 local young people each week. They said simply : " We are gutted."

Back in 2018 the same scout group had the hut they used for outdoor activities destroyed by vandals.
