Simply incredible, your chance to drive your very own steam train.

Sadly, of course you don't get to take it home, but you will get to be a train driver for a day - but you need to be quick.

Just four places are still available to take charge of the wonderful Austin over at the heritage railway in Midsomer Norton.

The steam experience will be on Saturday 4th September and Saturday 18th September and include making the whole day memorable.

Details are still being finalised but will include a welcome and safety briefing, an introduction and familiarisation with the locomotive and then some engineering readiness including oiling and greasing the locomotive. All before that brilliant driving experience.

Just a warning, driving this kind of powerful beast can be physically demanding, candidates should be in good health and be able to climb up and down steps in order to access the footplate.

If you are lucky you will get two trips driving and two trips firing the freight set.
