The annual Civic Awards will return on Saturday 27th May 2023. The event will take place as part of the Annual Meeting of the Town at the Somer Centre commencing at 4pm.

The Town Council is again keen to invite nominations for the awards outlined below. If you would like to nominate anyone who you feel has made a significant and important contribution to our community, please put them forward to the Town Council for consideration by either ringing or emailing us.

There are lifetime awards for those who contribute over longer periods, individual awards to recognise individual contributions to the community and awards to recognise the good work that the various groups, organisations and societies contribute to Midsomer Norton.

The main categories are as follows:

• Lifetime Achievement

• Contribution to Civic Life

• Business Initiative of the Year

• Youth Group Leader of the Year

• Community Youth Group of the Year

• Community Group of the Year

• Community Volunteers of the Year

• Community Project of the Year

• Sports Achievement of the Year

The people and groups who are recognised in this way are appreciated both for their service and for their willingness to come forward and accept the symbolic thanks of the town, which helps to build community pride and resilience.

To submit your nominations please contact Midsomer Norton Town Council on 01761 418701 or by email [email protected] before the 21st April 2023 deadline.
