This coming Saturday the Midsomer Norton U3A will be making some noise about their relaunch, promoting all of their groups and classes and showcasing their ukulele and guitar groups.

They will be on the stage at the Somerset Farmers Market at the Hollies - and want to invite everyone along.

The Midsomer U3A is part of more a thousand groups across the UK with members are making the most of life by continuing their creative educational or social interests in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.

The local U3A said: " We are a friendly group with many groups active, why not give us a try?"

The group's ukulele band Crazy For Uke will be playing at 10.00 followed by their guitar group The Singing Guitars at approximately 10.45.

Midsomer Norton Farmers Market this Saturday 4th September 9am-1pm in Hollies Gardens.

At the market a new free range poultry and grass fed beef product from a young farmer from the Somerset/Devon border and another newbie, Whitehorse Micro Greens an urban family farm specialising in nutrient dense organic micro salads, herbs and vegetables.

And after Cesars coffee did not make it to Midsomer for the last market, the organisers are assured he will appear on Saturday with his own roasted blend from his native Columbia.

The Saturday Line up so far:

Bristol Woodturning

Honey's Cider- locally produced craft cider with a contemporary twist

Pig Patch Pigs

Root Connections- locally grown organic vegetables & salads ,flowers and preserves.

Still Sisters- Frome based drinks company

Somerset Cheese Company

Ted's Plants- Radstock based plants

Timmy's Chillies

The Happy Forager- Local Dan with an amazing range of cultivated gourmet mushrooms, plus foraged treats

The Pudding Kitchen

Wainwrights Bee Farm

Wookey Goat Farm

Other stalls will include the Avon Wildlife Trust and the MSN Lions Club.
