In weekly planning news in and around Norton Radstock this week

An application has been made to build two homes at Four Winds, on Monger Lane in Welton, Midsomer Norton. This is a resubmission of an earlier application. That is under planning portal reference PP-08394552

The consultation process is now open for the application to permanently site a nursery at Radstock Children's Centre on Kilmersdon Road at postcode,BA3 3QH. The full planning application is for the permanent retention of the existing Nursery Building. Submissions on the proposal 20/01259/REG03 can be made until April 27.

And the on-going application for building work on land between Hillside View And Bath Road, on Greenlands Road, in Peasedown continues to move ahead. The developers have applied to discharge one of the conditions associated with building 72 homes and 17 flats at the site. The application 12/05477/OUT also includes 288 sq m of Class B1 floorspace (thats for offices) and provision of a public open space including allotments. Planners have set a target decision date of June 2.

Meantime in an important update of planning news: Planners from Bath have put out the following notice:

If you are about to submit an application which is not time critical, we strongly urge you to consider delaying submission until further notice.

Hard copy applications will take longer to process and we urge everyone to submit electronically. All payments must be made electronically at the point of submission, and we are unable to accept cash or cheque payments at this time.

With regard to Site Notices:

We are unable to put up site notices. As an interim measure site notices will be posted to the applicant address. Applicants will be asked to put up site notices and send us a photograph for our records. If a site notice cannot be put up the consultation process will not be complete and we will be asking for the target date to be extended.

If you have already made a planning application the council say to expect to delays and your case officer will be in touch to discuss this with you.
