There is a new safe space where anyone who wants to relax and be listened to, or just talk, and is aged from 11-18, can go to in Midsomer Norton.

The youth club, or okay cafe, will be an evolving program set up for young people of Midsomer Norton and held in the Town Hall.

Organisers said: " We pride ourselves on being fully inclusive and actively promote equality and diversity in all that we set out to do and hope all of the young people interested will feel welcomed into this new and exciting service. "

Called Norton Youth Cafe it is totally new and is on tonight (Thursday).

The cafe is on between 6.30pm-8.30pm and for just 50 pence teenagers in the town can meet up at the coffee shop, with free WiFi and a cool chill area. There will also be other activities including a pool table and Xbox games to play with.

The meet up is arranged by Off the Record Bath and North East Somerset (OTR) which aims to improve the emotional health and well-being of young people.

Their ethos is that every young person in Bath and North East Somerset and beyond is emotionally healthy, confident and empowered in themselves.

They provide a range of free services including counselling, listening support, youth participation, advocacy and specialist groups, support for care leavers and LGBT+ advice.
