There has been one officially recorded death from coronavirus in Midsomer Norton - according to official figures.

The precise data shows for the first time, numbers of people who have died if you search by the local Midsomer Norton central postcode.

Figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show, for the first time, deaths at a local level for people who have contracted Covid-19.

The deaths, reported by postcode area, have been kept vague for confidentiality reasons. The data shows just one death locally.

The statistics listed are for deaths where Covid-19 was the underlying cause or was mentioned on the death certificate as a contributory factor, between March 1 and April 17.

The data can be seen on the official site - where you search by postcode. Here: the ONS site.
