Peasedown Community Trust is getting into the Easter spirit with a free chocolate egg giveaway!

The charity, set up last year to champion community and civic life in the village, wants to ensure that no child goes without a chocolate egg this Easter.

Trust Chairman, Gavin Heathcote, said:

"On Easter Saturday, the Easter Bunny will be in Peasedown helping us with our free chocolate egg giveaway. He will be based at The Hive and wandering up and down the high street, so keep your eyes peeled!

These past 12 months have been tough on us all. Many people living in Peasedown have been out of work, isolated from friends and family and not able to spend time doing the things they love."

On Saturday 3rd April between 10 am – 1pm, the Trust will be at Peasedown Community Library giving out free eggs to the public, plus bouquets of daffodils for anyone to take home.

Fellow Trustee Benice Hampton added:

"Pop along to the library next Saturday morning at The Hive Community Centre to collect your free egg.

This is an easy and fun way for us all to 'get into the Easter spirit' at the start of - what we hope is - a more positive time ahead of us."

Peasedown Community Library is located at The Hive, Bath Road, BA2 8DH.

In line with government guidance, the free chocolate egg giveaway will take place outside. Both libraries and food distribution projects are classed as essential services and can stay open during lockdown.
