Peasedown St John's new community centre, The Hive, has said 'thank you' to its loyal team of volunteers by putting on a Christmas party for them.
Since the Hive Management Team took over the running of the building from Bath & North East Somerset Council in 2020, a dedicated group of volunteers has steadily grown to help facilitate what happens at the centre.
Lucy Day, Hive Centre Manager, said:
"We couldn't do what we do without our wonderful volunteers. From picking up the 'phone to welcoming visitors as they enter the building, our volunteers go above and beyond!
Last week we decided to put on a free Christmas Party to show how grateful we are, and how much we appreciate their contributions.
Thank you to all our volunteers, you're awesome!"
Lucy and her team are always looking for new volunteers to help. If you're interested, visit the Hive website at www.thehivepsj.org or call 01761 360021.
The Hive Community Centre is home to the village post office, Swallow Café, and the community library.
The Centre (located next to Peasedown St John Primary School on Bath Road, BA2 8DH) has rooms available for hire including three meeting rooms, a large art room, a sports hall large enough for badminton, and an outside sport's court. It is an ideal venue for children's parties.
