Wetherspoons otherwise known as the Palladium Electric has applied to thin two trees in the garden of the pub at 110 High Street, Midsomer Norton. Under application 20/02701/TCA it has asked to trim back the crown of two trees, but hasn't disclosed what species they are. The hand car wash on Bath New Road as you head up the road out of Radstock wants to expand. Under application 20/02766/FUL it wants to put part of the forecourt area currently used for car wash drying and valeting, over to a tyre fitting area (Use Class B2). The site was closed as a petrol station in 2007. They are also hoping to do some tree work at Long Barnaby, Welton, Midsomer Norton. Under application 20/02758/TPO they have asked if they can fell an Ash tree which it is suspected has Ash dieback disease and to reduce the size of a nearby Hawthorne .
