Planning News in and around Norton Radstock this week

Planning proposals put before B&NES planners this week include:

Developers have applied to approve the reserved matters for the work at 46 Radstock Road, Midsomer Norton, ( 20/04037/RES).

If you have been driving past and wondering what is happening there they want reserved matters (appearance, landscaping, layout and scale) with regard to outline application 19/01784/OUT. Those are plans for a residential development of up to nine houses with new road access, car parking, associated infrastructure and landscaping following demolition of an existing dwelling and outbuildings (This is a resubmission).

Oval Estates (Bath) Ltd, on Cobblers Way, in Westfield( under reference 20/04348/ODCOU) have put in a prior approval request for change of use from offices (Use Class B1) into 13 flats (Use Class C3).

Lilliput House, on the Fosseway in Westfield (under application

20/04335/ODCOU) has put in a prior approval request for change of use from offices (Use Class B1) to two one bedroom apartments (Use Class C3).

Planners are considering an application to build a two storey side extension at 20 Fosseway South, Midsomer Norton ( Ref.

20/04329/FUL).

An application has been put in to build a new garage and lower a garden wall at 24 West Hill Gardens in Westfield. That is under reference

20/03084/CLPU.

In Charlton Park at 93 in Midsomer Norton, they have applied to build a rear ground floor extension ( Reference 20/04319/FUL).

Tree works applications currently under consideration include:

There is a felling application for land to the east of Providence Bungalow, Frome Road, Radstock, (under application 20/04290/TCA) They want to cut down an Ash, a Hazel and a Blackthorn tree.

An application has been put in to cut back an Ash at 38 Coombend, Radstock, Reference 20/04297/TCA.

And householders want to trim the Hawthorn at Chapel Lawns, Clandown (Reference 20/04342/TCA)

Planning decisions this week from B&NES include:

An application to demolish a side extension at 2 St Thomas Road, Welton, Midsomer Norton (20/03779/CLPU) and to build a new one, has been withdrawn.

An application to build a conservatory at 5 Hayes Park Road, in Midsomer Norton,( 20/03550/FUL) has been permitted.

Cutting back four trees at 1 St Charles Close, in Welton, BA3 2XA

20/03536/TPO due to Ash die back has been given consent.
