Planning news in and around Radstock this week.

An application to reduce the size of an Acer at 46 Waterloo Road, Radstock. Details under 23/01756/TCA

Over in Welton, Old Pit Cottage, Welton Grove, has put in an application to fell a Birch at the property. Details 23/01754/TCA

Tree works also at 46A Radstock Road including cutting back a Lime to protect the tree from high sided vehicles going past and damaging it, details under

And are you crazy about crazy golf ? The application is in for an 18 hole golf course at the play area, in Gullock Tyning in Midsomer. Under 23/01622/FUL they want to build the course, together with associated soft landscaping, tree planting and new 2.2 metre high security perimeter fence. That's the area next door to the Leisure Centre in Midsomer Norton. In the application designers have listed all the parts that make up that area: Gullock Tyning includes: • Midsomer Norton Leisure centre with associated children's adventure playground, five a side football pitches • Midsomer Norton Skate Park • St Chads Surgery • Somer Centre • Midsomer Norton Town Park

Planning decisions made this week include:

Planners have decided an application for a single storey extension at 34 Russet Way, Peasedown St John, is lawful. The application also includes a plan to convert the garage into a home office.

In Paulton an application for a two storey rear and side extension at 13 Somerset Way, has been permitted.

Also in Paulton, the homeowners of 32 Spring Ground Road can demolish their existing extension and build a new one and put in parking.

And a condition of the planning application to build a new home at Glenvue House, Winterfield Road, in Paulton has been discharged.
