Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and anyone with information from Friday night's incident up at the Midsomer Norton Heritage station.

They put out an appeal today (August 2) following reports and CCTV footage which was released by the station following criminal damage and antisocial behaviour at the station, in Silver Street.

"At approximately 8pm on Friday 30 July, a fence was damaged at the site.

"CCTV enquiries are ongoing.

"Witnesses or anyone with information that can assist our investigation is asked to contact us online or on 101 giving reference number 5221174281."

The heritage station say that they have already had some contacts with those who say they know who was involved, but they are also really concerned about the danger the individuals put themselves in.

They told Nub News that as much as the volunteer-run team is concerned about the trespassing and any potential damage, if one of those at the station had slipped from the top of the rail carriages on which they climbed, its likely that they would have broken something or possibly even got killed if they had hit their head on something. They would be falling 12 feet or more onto hard surfaces.
