An Avon & Somerset Police officer faces accusations he slept with a sex worker he knew had links to an organised crime group.

PC Kelly Norris, based in Bath, will appear at a police misconduct hearing at force headquarters in Portishead on Friday morning (September 16).

A publicity notice for the public hearing, which will be chaired by Chief Constable Sarah Crew, said the officer was accused of breaching the standards of professional behaviour for police officers concerning honesty and integrity, authority, respect and courtesy, and conduct.

"It is alleged that from December 2018 to May 2022, PC Norris engaged the services of a sex worker on a number of occasions [and that] in May 2022 he had sex with a sex worker that he knew was a member of or had close links to an organised crime group," it said.

"If proven, the allegations would amount to gross misconduct," the notice added.
