This retail site at the top end of Midsomer Norton High Street sold last week, prior to auction.

But a special site at the opposite end of the High Street, up for auction by the same company WILL be coming to an auction in ten days time.

And the auctioneers Maggs & Allen, who are hosting the action on June 17, say that they have had " A lot of interest."

Officially the address is on Silver Street, Midsomer Norton but the area is next door to the TSB and is for sale for a guide Price £100,000.

Meantime the shop at the top of the High Street was sold prior to the auction, and is believed to have been sold to a property developer who is planning on a major refit before leasing it out. It has planning consent for conversion of the first floor into a self-contained two -bedroom flat.

It comes as several changes come to that end of the High Street.

The current P.E.O.P.L.E charity shop and recording studio is in the process of moving back to Radstock, so the site will be empty from the end of June.

Meanwhile the restaurant and living accommodation just down from that site has been sold by Cooper & Tanner. It is understood by Nub News that it will be turning into a takeaway, with the owners living above.
