Radstock Age UK shop is to begin accepting donations from 10 am on June 15.
The shop has been closed for all donations and customers since the coronavirus lockdown came into force 78 days ago.
Age UK has more than 350 charity shops throughout the UK which collectively raised £5.7 million for the charity according to the last accounts for them in 2018/19. It is not clear when the shop itself will be open for customers.
Meanwhile the Dorothy House charity shop in Midsomer Norton has said that it is likely to remain closed until at the earliest July, when they hope to start a phased opening for 2-4 of their shops.
Sue Ryder, which also runs a shop in Midsomer Norton announced yesterday (June 8) that will begin to re-open a small number of its high street charity shops from Monday 22 June. The charity will look to open more shops throughout July and August, once it is confident that this can be done safely.
The British Heart Foundation has also updated its guidance, saying that its network of shops will begin to reopen from mid-June and throughout July and August.
