Radstock community rallies : No kids will go hungry this half term mums vow

By Susie Watkins 23rd Oct 2020

A group of local mums have set up a no questions asked no judgement made emergency half-term lunch pack project.

They simply want to help those in need of assistance with food for their children over half term.

They told Nub News : " We are able to supply packed lunch and hot foods (cooked and to be reheated) over the half term period, no judgement or questions asked. All details will be kept strictly confidential."

They have already got requests in from families in Radstock and in Midsomer Norton - even one from Bath.

But they are also hoping some local businesses will come on board and help out.

One of the friend's of the group said: " As our wonderful government has decided its more important to give themselves massive pay rises than feed those in the greatest need - are businesses able to help this initiative at all ?"We would be most grateful."

If you need help - no questions asked - message Leanne Maidment via Facebook messenger, with details of what is required (how many children, what age, any allergies or dietary requirements.)

If you as a business might be able to sponsor this initiative contact Amy Pritchard also on Facebook messenger,
