Radstock is one of the UK's greatest cycling routes and is hugely popular especially during the holidays. So the police are appealing for the cycling world's help in recovering a distinctive mountain bike.

It was taken from a premises in Bath and even second- hand is worth several thousand pounds.

The bike is a man's orange coloured Santa Cruz Hi Tower mountain bike.

It has a Thompson stem and full carbon handlebars, made by Nukeproof.

Officers said; " We are urging second hand and cycling shops to be on the lookout for the bike and would also appeal to cycling enthusiasts to remain vigilant.

If you see the bike, please contact us, quoting reference 5219289648."
