In Radstock itself, Victoria Hall, in Church Street, (under 21/03866/FUL) has put in a retrospective application for their external coronavirus shelter.

In Camerton, 1 Orchard Cottages, on Wick Lane, (under reference

21/03898/FUL) has applied for a change of use from a residential annex to dual use for residential annexe and as a self-contained holiday-let.

In Carlingcott number 64 Carlingcott, (reference 21/03687/CLEU) has applied to convert their pool house into an independent dwelling.

Planners have agreed the application to build three homes on land to the rear of 62, High Street, in Midsomer Norton. Each home will be three bedrooms and there will be associated parking. The scheme includes the demolition of the existing storage building on the site.

Also permitted an application for extensions to the rear of Bay Tree Cottage and Bay Cottage at Wisteria House, on the High Street, in Wellow. Plans include the creation of a new driveway.

Permitted, a first floor rear extension at 24 Braysdown Lane, in Peasedown St. John.

Planners have also agreed that 103 Withies Park, in Midsomer Norton, can demolish an existing garage and build a two-storey side extension incorporating a new garage and one-bed annexe.

At Number 1 on The Island, in Midsomer Norton, (under reference

21/03814/CDCOU ) there is an application for prior approval for change of use from a commercial address into a one bedroomed flat (C3).

In the Mendip planning department an application to build a wooden barn for agricultural use at Ham Mill in Holcombe Radstock has been approved.

In the application the owners say they need the barn for the safe and secure storage of agricultural machinery, and report that children have recently been witnessed 'playing' on a tractor which has significant child safety and public liability implications. The proposal is to site the barn on an area that once formed the bed of a clay quarry.
