Volunteers have been busy, busy, busy up at the railway this past weekend.

Members of the track gang were out checking that the fish plate bolts are tight heading out - socially distanced of course - on one of their trolleys.

They were making good the lines ready for the Grand Reopening with a summer time train special on August 2

Tickets MUST be purchased in advance via the website and you have the choice of four train times.

10:30, 11:30, 14:00 and 15:30 hrs.

Tickets are just £25 for a maximum of eight people and include a £5 voucher for the buffet car.

With the safety of passengers and staff paramount the Somerset and Dorset Railway Heritage Trust have warned that there will be no admittance on the day if you have not pre-booked.
