Father Christmas has been up at the heritage station in Midsomer Norton - visiting the signal box to check everything was working correctly.

The control box in Midsomer Norton has been painstakingly rebuilt and restored to working order.

So that should mean all trains heading in the right direction for a fabulous festive season.

The station is running several Santa Specials in the coming weeks and due to high demand has just released some additional tickets.

A limited number of tickets for those Santa Specials are now available by clicking HERE: the Somerset & Dorset Railway site

Meantime in exciting news further work will be undertaken in early 2022 to commission the signalling of the Up line - so next year some more trains will be hopefully be able to run along the popular line.
