With schools now returning to near normal, Radstock Nub News has pulled together a list of the opening and closing dates for the local schools.

The two senior schools in Radstock are Writhlington Secondary School and the specialist Mendip Studio School on the same site alongside Frome Road, which are both part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership.

That has set dates for the terms for 2022 as:

Term 3 January 4 to February 18 Term 4 February 28 - April 8 Term 5 April 25 - May 27 Term 6 June 6 - July 21 In Radstock itself, in terms of primary schools, there is Trinity Church School which is also part of that group. So they too will be following those dates, but will be able to set their own training days, so please check their web site for additional days that the are closed. St Nicholas C of E Primary School, down in the town close to the church, is part of the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust and will finish this current term on Friday 18th February. Then it has posted the following dates:

TERM 4

Start: Monday 28th February

Finish: Friday 8th April

TERM 5

Start: Monday 25th April

Finish: Friday 27th May

TERM 6

Start: Monday 6th June

Finish: Thursday 21st July.

INSET DAYS currently on the school calendar are : Monday 24th January and Friday 22nd July 2022 (which is the extra date due to the Queen's Jubilee).

Also in Writhlington, is St Mary's. This small primary and nursery has been serving the surrounding community since 1901 and is part of The Partnership Trust.
