If you are driving that way, you may be pleased to know that Silver Street in Midsomer Norton is now OPEN to through traffic.

Which is welcome and earlier than expected news because according to the B&NES site it will continue to be closed until February 5 next year.

Meantime as Nub News went to check on the road today (December 21) ,workmen were cleaning the windows of the new Midsomer Norton Primary School. As you know from a report earlier in Nub News, pupils are due to start there on January 5.

The whole development will not be completed by that date - including as it does a care home and housing - but the some of the classes will be taking up at least some of the rooms.
