Clients of local solicitors Thatcher + Hallam will be well aware of their annual Autumn Will Month scheme.

Over the years it has helped raise many thousands of pounds for some great local charities.

This year is no different, with the law practice announcing their October Will Month and the organisation involved being the firm's own nominated Charity of the Year, Dogs Friends.

Laura Ablett is one of the solicitors and partners at the firm. She helps organise the annual event.

'How the scheme works is simple,' says Laura. 'We charge clients just £125 plus VAT for a single Will and £175 plus VAT for a joint Will. This is a special rate purely for Will Month. For our part we then donate the same amounts (50% of the Will costs but excluding VAT) direct to Dogs Friends.'

Dogs Friends is a local Somerset charity that is dedicated to helping both dogs and owners in need. One of the charity's main functions is to help rescue dogs in the Somerset, Bath and Bristol area.

'We are absolutely delighted to be working with Dogs Friends during the next 12 months and with the help of our clients we are hopeful that our October Will Month will help make a financial contribution to the fantastic work that Dogs Friends carry out.'

Laura does warn however that as with every other year, the number of places available on the scheme is limited so an early call to the firm is recommended. Thatcher + Hallam can be contacted on 01761 414646.
