Because of coronavirus Radstock Museum cannot hold its usual annual quiz night this year at Radstock Working Men's Club - who in the past have always been so generous in their support.

But never fear, you can still challenge yourself with the Museum's Winter Quiz which can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home and in your own time over the coming weeks.

The quiz has several rounds including lots of local history and knowledge questions with the quiz masters warning that you will require some digging around to find the right answers and Google will not necessarily help.

Thatcher + Hallam Solicitors have sponsored the quiz prizes which include a first price of £30 and Radstock Reminisces, a beautiful large local history book full of old photos and fascinating facts about the local area.

The quiz will be available from Saturday 5th December on the museum website by clicking HERE : the Radstock museum site

The closing date for entries is January 18 2021 and the answers will be published the following week.

If you don't want to enter on line, there are currently plans to open the museum shop (unless Radstock moves into Tier 3) open on Saturdays: 5th,12th and 19th December 11am-5pm. Quiz sheets cost £2.30 (30p to cover printing costs).

Or you can send a cheque for £3 payable to "Radstock Museum" with your name and address to "Winter Quiz", 1 Gordon Buildings, Radstock, BA3 3HR to receive the quiz by post (£1 covers printing, postage and envelope costs) PLEASE do not send cheques to the museum itself.
