Freedom day and the lifting of coronavirus restrictions for most after 480 days.

However what is not lifting is the current weather pattern.

In Midsomer Norton yesterday (July 18) it was over 30 degrees and temperatures are expected to stay there today.

Many local residents noted that the day time is not the biggest issues, and that without a big fall in overnight temperatures, it was hard to sleep.

According to the hyper local and highly respected weather forecaster Kilmersdon Weather tonight it will again be around 16 degrees and with no wind, " uncomfortable for sleeping."

He is predicting, along with much of the UK no change for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and it wont be until Friday and next weekend when showers and thunderstorms become much more widespread introducing cooler and fresher conditions. Which led one local to quip : " Weather change just in time for the summer holidays then."
