The soft play area in the centre of Midsomer Norton is under new ownership, with a young couple starting their first joint business together and who have spent ten years wanting to move here.

The business has just re-opened and now has a sister company with quirky collectables at the front of Holly Court.

It is a labour of two halves ; Rebecca Brown running the bric-a-brac shop and her partner Paul Symonds the soft play, with the couple moving down from Stoke on Trent.

She told Nub News: " We had been wanting to move to Somerset for a while. In my case this has been the dream in the making for past at least ten years.

"We ended up picking Midsomer Norton because we could see the potential. We knew that there was the opportunity to aid in the recovery and we wanted to be part of something great.

"Also Midsomer Norton is great when it comes to traveling with great links into Bristol, Bath and easy to get to Wells and Glastonbury, which we love. "

Both businesses are open every day except Mondays from 9am to 5pm.

A session for the soft play is £3.60 per child for an hour and a half. People will have to book, by either emailing [email protected] or visiting Holly Court.

Rebecca told Nub News : " We have come here to start a new exciting life and a business together. "

At the front of Holly Court is the hugely popular Essence Cafe with (in our opinion) the best coffee in town.
